In Q1 2022, the travel and local category on the Android platform in Italy saw notable activity. Here’s a snapshot of the performance of the top 5 apps in this category.

Google Earth showed a consistent trend in weekly downloads, starting with around 22K downloads and experiencing a peak of nearly 39K in the final week of March. The app maintained a steady number of weekly active users, beginning at approximately 156K and reaching around 183K by the end of the quarter.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel exhibited significant growth in weekly downloads, starting at roughly 19K and climbing to 28K by the last week of March. The app also saw a rise in weekly active users, beginning at about 882K and increasing to nearly 1.09M throughout the quarter.

Ryanair had a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at 12K and peaking at around 24K in late March. The number of weekly active users also grew from approximately 105K to 152K over the same period.
